Use Of Cans In Open-End Spinning
The open-end spinning cans from Jumac that are used to make the process of feeding the sliver from the drawframe through the rotor spinning machine, come with complete quality assurance. They play a key role in maximising the overall rotor spinning productivity and eliminate the risks associated with rotor stripping.

Open-end spinning, a relatively new spinning method, is a process in which single fibres are formed from fibre slivers. The compactness of the fibres is enhanced by the rotors that rotate at very high speeds. Open-end spinning generally has higher productivity compared to ring spinning.
In the open-end spinning process, twists are inserted at every rotor turn. The evenness and quality of the yarns are assessed at multiple stages, to ensure quality optimisation. The twist is directly proportional to the rotor speed. The rotor design is a key determinant regarding this.
Given the extreme high speeds at which open-end spinning takes place, smooth & stable material handling is important to avoid sliver imperfections. Customised sliver cans with built-in accessories ensure this. Overall operational efficiency is also enhanced.
If the open-end spinning process is not properly managed, twist problems can be a direct result. Frictional contact with the rotors can also cause sliver quality degradation. By working with state-of-the-art spinning machinery and specialised sliver cans, these problems can be mitigated.
The latest manufacturing technology is used by Jumac to design HDPE sliver cans for rotor spinning. These cans have high sliver loading capacity, ensure smooth transportation & handling, and lend that much-required stability to the high-speed process.
